Mountwood Park is a county park located 12 miles east of Parkersburg, West Virginia on Route 50. Spend a day in the park exploring over 50 miles of trails for hikers, bikers, and horseback riders. Challenge yourself on a rugged trail or learn about the history of Mountwood Park on a historic walk through archeological sites. There are nine designated mountain biking trails:  Ballard, Black Bear Mt. Bike Trail, Davis Creek, Mossy Rock,  Pigeon Roost, Pine Ridge Trail to Dunlop Trail, Polecat, Teaberry Rock, and Wildcat Ridge trails,

A Kanawha State Forest Hiking/Biking Guide and Topographical Map is available for purchase at the forest office.The guides are produced by Kanawha State Forest  Foundation and are approximately 22”x18”. Watters Smith State Park

Watters Smith Memorial State Park may be reached by taking Exit 110 off I-79 (Lost Creek exit) and following the directional signs to West Milford, left on Duck Creek Road to Watters Smith State Park (approximately 7 miles).
